Tough times

With every good, enjoyable time comes a bad time. The way you get through that is how the rest of your life will be defined. We all have that one "day" or week where we feel something is off, or you just feel like something is wrong. We all have been there, but what do you do to get through it? Personally, I would blow it off, act like everything would slowly go back to normal, and I realized it didn't. My day or week didn't just "go back to normal." I have learned to adapt to what happens in my life, and not make things hard on myself. If something comes up, I adapt and go on. Whether it was a bad grade, a bad interaction, or something that just seemed to happen at the wrong time, it all depends on how you take it, and move on. Think about the ways you can control your life for the better.

Today

What are you doing today? What is your routine? Does your day consist of getting stuff done, but also taking some time for yourself to relax? Resting or relaxing, which ever you prefer, is so, so important. But also, getting enough sleep is the number one thing. You can not be yourself without feeling rested, obviously. That is where the routine comes in, making an organized schedule to follow every single day. I promise you, you will get enough sleep if you follow your daily routine. Aside from a routine, what about getting involved with things to help the community or just one person? Lighting up someones day, can lighten up yours ten times faster than normal, I swear. Even if it is just a small donation, or a simple smile. Anything can lighten up someones day, if it is a positive gesture.

Your Own Routine

Today was such a good day for me. It was laid back, fun, and easy. I woke up around 9, with the sun shining, and my room bright. Every day when the sun is out I am instantly in a great mood. I got up right away and started to make my favorite breakfast, waffles with fruit. I took my time, wasn't rushing around. I ate my breakfast, then went to the gym. Personally, my time at the gym is my time. It a time when I can reflect on the week, and take out all the anger and stress I have with the different machines. Then I come home, clean myself up and usually go to work or just some chores done. This routine for me, is everything. Having something to follow day after day is so refreshing, and healthy to stay on a schedule. If your day is full of unnecessary things, or just crazy all the time, how can you find time to do things for yourself, or even have time to take a deep breath when you need it most? Think about what kind of say you want tomorrow, think of a schedule. A schedule to sta

Being positive

Being positive can be tough for any people, we often find ourselves "acting" positive. Faking it, making it even harder for us to be positive in the end. Did you know faking the positive, and acting like you're happy everyday is the number one reason why you aren't? Find something that makes you happy, find the reason to wake up and have a smile on your face. No matter what the situation, there is always something positive. I am here to tell you that I once faked being happy everyday. I was going through a lot, and I told myself I had no reason to smile. So, for a few days I was pretending everything was fine. Although that is okay, and you should put a smile on your face, I realized I had to have something to smile about. I thought about how blessed I was with the family I have, and the friends that are in my life. I look back at all the wonderful memories I have, that made me who I was in that moment. Now everytime I am going through something, I look back at everyt

One Day At a TIme

"One day at a time" is a very common saying. When you really think about it, it has a lot of meaning.  One day, 24 hours. 24 hours to do what YOU want to do. Do what makes you happy, what makes you a better person, most importantly, doing it at a pace you can handle. Sometimes we think we have to rush, but there is no such thing, and no reason too. When we rush, that often means stress comes along as well. When you are stressed, how can you be happy? How can you accomplish anything at all when all you are thinking about it the next day already, rushing to you. Slow down, take a breathe, and realize there is more to a day than 24 hours. Does 24 hours seem like not enough time? It might not be, but there is always another 24 hours after that. The stress that we put on ourselves because of rushing is terrible. Rushing your way through life is not what life is about at all. 24 hours. 1440 minutes. More than enough time to accomplish anything. If you do not have enough time, you a

Yourself

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, it will be about you. Your happiness, your likes, and dislikes. Today is the start to find your happiness. Not your friends, parents, or cousins, yours. We have all been in too many situations that we have not done what we wanted to do, or been forced. People or things that force you to do things that do not make you happy should not be acceptable. Even if it is the slightest thing, just to make you smile, you have found something that brings you happiness. Ask yourself, what is something that you do alone? What is something you do that no one knows about? No one knows about it, but it makes you happy. Be yourself - it does not matter who is around. Be happy, be You.
Have you every felt like you couldn't be yourself? That you needed to change your ways or looks to be accepted? I know the answer for everyone is yes. We have never felt 100% perfect in any situation. Why do we feel like we are not good enough? Society. Society has told us since we were young you had to be perfect to make friends, have fun, and be popular. What many people don't know is that being yourself is what makes you popular, how you make friends, and most importantly how you have fun. Trying to be someone you're not is exhausting. Waking up in the morning and having to worry about who you are going to be that day is what most people today do. I am telling you, it is not worth it, it is not worth the fake. Just trust in yourself and be yourself. Have fun, and live how you want to live.
